Post Date a Message to Yourself or a Colleague

Last Updated: Mar 18, 2019 03:12PM PDT

The Messages feature can be used to remind yourself or someone in your practice to perform a task in the future. This can be achieved by using the message "Post-Date" function. To send a post-dated message:

1. Enter the date when you would like the message to be delivered in the "Post Date" field. (Enter an exact date using MM/DD/YYYY or type the time frame, e.g. "2 weeks", "1 year", "5 days")

2. The message will be delivered and display in your colleague's Requiring Actions queue and Practice Home Inbox on the Post Date date. The message will also appear in the Outstanding Items queue within the patient's chart.

You can also send Messages to yourself as a reminder for a task to do!

1. Add yourself (by typing in "Self") as the Recipient in a new message, and Post Date the message.
2. The message will arrive in your Requiring Actions queue and the Practice Home Inbox on the date selected.
