Sending a Report To a Provider or Patient Without Printing

We've made sending reports to Consultants and Patients even easier. Instead of having to start a Letter and attach a report manually through "Attach Chronological Record Items," you can now have a Letter automatically drafted for you with a new report attached when you sign off on that report.

Here's how it works:

When you see a new report ready for sign-off in the Requiring Actions section of the patient's chart, there are 3 buttons under the report information:
  1. Sign Off: Signs off the report and does nothing else. 
  2. Sign Off & Send to Patient: Signs off the report and opens a new letter addressed to the patient's Elation Passport*. In the letter, the report is automatically attached, and the subject is pre-filled with the report's title.
  3. Sign Off & Send to ConsultantSigns off the report and opens a new letter to a Consultant. In the letter, the report is automatically attached (along with the Patient Profile and Demographics), and the subject is pre-filled with the report's title.


*Even if your patient hasn't been invited to Passport before you select "Sign Off & Send to Patient," it will still draft a Letter to your patient with the report attached. You can either invite the patient to Passport at the time that you send the Letter, or just print the Letter and mail it to the patient instead.
