Overview

What are auto-queued claims?

Auto-queued claims are specific claims that are sent from the EHR directly to the Elation Billing Claims Queue and bypass the Worklist. Claims that meet auto-queue criteria are:

  • Single charge line claims that passed all scrubbing checks in the EHR.
  • Multi-charge line claims that have a confidence score of 90% or higher.
    • Each claim in Elation Billing is automatically assigned an invisible confidence score based on your practice’s history with similar claims. Afterwards: 
      • claims with a confidence score greater than or equal to 90% will go straight to the Claims Queue.
      • claims with a confidence score less than 90% will go to a Worklist.

 

ℹ️ NOTE
Since auto-queue uses your historical claim data to calculate confidence scores, you may notice a lower volume of auto-queued claims at first — this will increase over time as you build up more claim history.

 

What are the benefits of auto-queuing claims?

Auto-queueing claims speeds up your workflow by sending “clean” claims directly to the Claims Queue, so you don’t need to review them again in Elation Billing before sending them to the Clearinghouse.



Setup

1Click Settings -> Billing.
2Go to the AI Billing section and set the Billing Analysis toggle to green (ON).

 

 

Workflow Instructions

Auto-queuing claims

1Add all necessary claim details to the billing information section of your visit note in the EHR. Use AI Coding as needed.
2Use the claim scrubber in the EHR to identify and correct any errors.
3Push the bill to Elation Billing once you are ready.
4Claims that meet the auto-queue criteria will be automatically sent to the Claims Queue. Look for the Queued by AI tag to quickly identify these claims.

 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Will any claims be billed automatically without my review?

No, claims will never be billed automatically. You must click Bill Now from the Claims Queue to send the claim to the Clearinghouse.

 

How do I release claims from the Claims Queue?

To send claims from the Claims Queue to the Clearinghouse:

1Click Claims Queue in Elation Billing to open it.
2Make sure all the claims in the queue can be sent to the Clearinghouse.
3Click Bill Now.
4Click Bill Now again.
