You can take the following actions on documents within the Fax Inbox:
- If there are any pages within a document that you do not want to store in the patient’s chart (i.e. fax cover sheets, blank pages), you can delete those pages from the Fax Inbox before filing the remainder of the document to the patient’s chart.
- If any pages are not oriented properly, you can rotate those pages before filing the document to the patient’s chart.
- If there are any faxes that are not associated to any patients (ie. supply order forms, medical newsletters), you can print those pages out for external use and then delete those documents from the Fax Inbox afterwards.
- If there are any faxes you do not need (ie. advertisements), you can delete those documents from the Fax Inbox.
- If the documents need to be stored in the patient’s chart, you can file them to the matching patient.
The Fax Inbox gives you the flexibility to ‘clean up’ patient documents before they are filed into the patient’s chart for permanent storage.
Each document is grouped into a listing if the document is from a single fax transmission or a single uploaded document file. To view documents in the listing, click on the document title to expand the listing
- You will see the images of the first 5 pages of the document in the expanded view (this is the default).
- To see additional pages of the document, if the document is more than 5 pages, click the More button at the end of the listing. Each time you click More you will see the next 5 pages.
- To zoom in on an image, double click on the page. A large version of the image, with a higher resolution, will appear on your screen.
