The Chronological Record Search is a tool in your patient's chart that allows you to search for specific types of records or records tied to specific clinical data. The Chronological Record contains all of the patient's clinical care history and the search tool allows you to pull up specific records without having to dig through the entire chart.
The Chronological Record search bar allows for searching by built-in filters or by any text you type. You can also use special search terms to pull up tables of data or combine the search tool with our Document Tags feature to build stronger searches.
Only records matching your search will appear in the Chronological Record. Text will be highlighted in yellow to allow you to identify where in the record your search is applied. To clear the search, click the "x" button next to your search term.
User Tip: There is a feature you can ask Elation to enable that will allow Provider Level Users to click a shortcut button to jump to the last signed visit note in a patient's chart. If you are interested, have an Admin Level User in the practice click the "I need help" -> "Contact Elation Support" button to request this feature and a member of the Support Team will assist you with turning this feature on. Once enabled, Provider Level users can click the "Go to... My Last Visit Note" shortcut button right below the Chronological Record search bar to jump to the last signed visit note in a patient's chart.
To make it convenient for customers to search for specific records in the patient's chart, Elation created filters for customers to utilize in the Chronological Record Search bar. Click into the search and then click "Type" to select the type of record you want to filter for.
